Welcome to the website for the Heart of America SGMP chapter.  We are thrilled that you are interested in growing your career in government meeting planning, whether as a planner or supplier.  We provide increased awareness for everyone!

The Heart of America chapter is located in the heart of the U.S. and offers a wide variety of educational training sessions through our monthly programs. Training sessions include, but are not limited to, government ethics, contracting and negotiating tips, government travel do's and don'ts, understanding the government market, communication skills, meeting planning skills for the novice and advanced, green meetings, FEMA requirements, and leadership development. SGMP is recognized as the expert for government meetings and is an integral part of the meetings and hospitality industry.

Our chapter typically meets on the third Wednesday of each month.  Please watch our calendar of events for upcoming programs and locations. If you are already an SGMP member: "thank you." If you are not yet a member, I encourage and invite you to join a wonderful opportunity in education, resources and networking.
